Art Basel Night One
Like any night at a gallery, the drinks were plenty and free–tip the sexy bartenders of course– and stair at walls until someone you know walks by or someone talks to you, at least I find that to be my case most of the time.I don’t know shit about orating the aesthetics of art and why it pleases my senses, to anyone, so I stand with a drink to my mouth and walk around.
However this gallery was different, Del Toro Shoes held a nice showcasing of their shoes and products at The Wynwood Building, located: 2750 NW 3rd Ave, which was covered in black and white stripes which resembled something Dr. Seus would’ve collaborated in brainstorming. The crowd was great, loose, social and wasted. There were beautiful girls all over in outstanding dress and heel uniform and it was simply all around very fuckin’ dope.
We left that venue and went Wood Lounge, like everyone does and proceeded to get shit faced with other artsy folk. Ended up losing a friend to the crowd that night and almost got stranded but somehow through God’s will he found me wondering the empty Wynwood streets at 4AM. All in all, my first Basel night was superb. Here are pics of the night leading from the Del Toro gallery to Wood Tavern. Cheers.
